Nemesis Solo Game

After receiving my Kickstarter of Nemesis, i started a solo game to learn the rules.

Took the captain, the pilot, the mechanic and the scientist on a ride through the ship. Goal was to put the blue corpse token in the Surgery. First half of the game went quit, exploring the ship and getting no nasty surprises.

Early encounters went without serious injuries and two weaknesses could be discovered. Then the sh*t hit the fan. After dropping the blue corpse in Surgery, the pilot was the first one to die in an attempt to flee from an intruder. So the other chars were scrambling to save their a$$es.

They divided to rise the chances of survival, the mechanic went to the escape pods, captain and scientist to the sleep chambers. And as expected, the scientist made to much noise entering the chamber, and so much luck with his drawn token...the quenn arrived. 

But things does not got better. The queen called for her brood, and a lucky event card movement (for the intruders) made the place in the hibernation chamber quit crowded.

The captian decided, that the scientist should sacrifice himself heroicly and made a supressive fire action to get to a neighboring room and seal the scientist with his new friends.

After eating the scientist, the brood scattered in directions away from the hibernation chamber, making it possible for the captain to get to sleep save. Before, the mechanic launched his escape pod and saved himself.

The ship jumped to earth with two working engines and the contamination card in the mechanics deck showed no sign of infection. Puhh...save. :)

This was a really fun game, starting slow but getting really tense later, with much lucky dice rolls and hard decisions to be made.

Kingdom Death Monster: Starting Survivors

After my birthday i trated myself with a new game, this time it was Kingdom Death Monster.

After watching some Let's Play Videos from Beasts of War, i decided that it's worth getting it. And man, was i surprised to find a ton of plastic kits in the box. With this game i deviated from my opinion, that board game minis don't need paint, they were just to beatiful designed to not paint them.

So here they are, my first batch of survivors, starting with the "Starting Survivors":

With them finished, i will paint their prey next, the White Lion...or were they it's prey...? Nevermind, painting time. :)

Building Paradiso - WiP 3

So, the kid was away, which gave me some free time and i investet it in building more trees for my Paradiso table. Also did a test setup, to check the density of the jungle.

Another Infinity conversion

Finished the next conversion for Infinity, this time the Father(?)-Doctor:

Changed the head to one of a bolt and gave her a combi rifle.

Some Infinity Conversions

Last month i bought the new Order Sergeant Box and a blister with the Spitfire Order Sergeant to get minis for some of their profiles, especially the hacker and the HRL. Additionally i wanted a second spitfire mini, so that i can field one with the MSV2 profile and one in a OS link.

And as i try to avoid identical minis, i planed to make some weapon swaps. First idea was to give the Spitfire OS body the hacker arms, but the scale between male and female body parts is way out of line, damn you CB. :(

So i changed the arms between the HRL and the SP Order Sergeant:

As a bonus, i reduced the back side of the SF body tabard. Both minis look good, some green stuff work to close some gaps and they will be ready for the paint station.

New Bases

Had a day off and the kid was not around, so stuff got finished on the workbench. :)

This time the first batch of new bases for my Infinity Military Order were completed.

Now i have to find the time, to get the other 40 or so bases done. :p The first minis to benefit from yesterdays work are the mechanic and his two buddies.

Building Paradiso - WiP 1

So, finally started to work on my big project for this year, a Paradiso-table for Infinity.

First decision to be made was, what bacis underground to use. After some research i found a nice one, a gaming mat from Kraken:

The best part of this step, i only had to click "Buy this". :)

These are the last ships from my Veydreth fleet. The ships heads are magnetized and can be swapped with the assualt Cruiser parts.

Hobby Projects for 2018

So, time to a plan on what to do this year.

First, there are the "left overs" from last year:

A squadron of Veydreth Cruisers, they don't need much more to be finished. Just a little drybrush and highlight work, some glow effects ant they arer done.

New this year was my entry in Shadespire. The Orruks are done and made so much fun to paint, that i just started work on the stormcasts:

And the Khorne guys will be done too.

More systems means more minis, so the next minis for Infinity are already bought. The PanO Support pack is waiting.

And last but not least, Firestorm Armada...again. This time a Sorylian Bastion Fleet and some civilian vessels.

And if i find some more spare time to spend on the hobby, i will build a Paradiso table for infinity. :)

Warhammer Underworlds: Shadespire - Ironskull's Boyz

First post 2018, yeah. :)

Finished my first minis this year, Ironskull's Boyz for Shadespire:

A game system made for me. Small rules manual and low miniature count. :) Had so much fun painting these guys that i started with the Steelheart and his gang directly after them.

I am currently compiling a list of projects for 2018, will share it in a later post.
